Public Schools, Charter Schools &, Junior Colleges Rules (8 CCR 1507-30)
The Division of Fire Prevention and Control has established uniform standards and minimum requirements for the construction, inspection and maintenance of public schools, institute charter schools, charter schools and junior colleges buildings and structures.
The Division has the authority to certify persons to conduct Building Code plan reviews and inspections. Such persons are reviewed and certified as part of the Prequalified Building Department process, or for inspections only through Third-Party Building Inspector Certification.
The Division also has the authority to certify persons to conduct Fire Code plan reviews and inspections through Fire Inspector Certification.
