National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS)

NFIRS is a standard national reporting system used by fire departments in the United States to report their fire and other incidents that they respond to and maintain records of incidents in a uniform manner. For more information on NFIRS please visit the NFIRS website.
How to Report NFIRS Incidents
Option 1
Create an account in eNFIRS
- To self-report incident data to NFIRS or to use the free NFIRS Incident Reporting System, fire departments must create an NFIRS User Account (new user registration).

Using Vendor Reporting Software
- Export your data from vendor software (must be in text format)
- Create a NFIRS account in NFIRS Incident Reporting System, fire departments must create an NFIRS user account (new user registration).
- Import and upload data file using the Bulk Import

Export Data
- Export your data from your vendor software
- Email your data file to Marlinda.Acevedo@state.co.us for processing
