National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS)

NFIRS is a standard national reporting system used by fire departments in the United States to report their fire and other incidents that they respond to and maintain records of incidents in a uniform manner. For more information on NFIRS, please visit the NFIRS website.

How to Report NFIRS Incidents

Option 1

Create an account in eNFIRS

To self-report incident data to NFIRS or to use the free NFIRS Incident Reporting System, fire departments must create an NFIRS User Account> (new user registration).

Using Vendor Reporting Software

Export your data from vendor software (must be in text format)
Create a NFIRS account in NFIRS Incident Reporting System, fire departments must create an NFIRS user account (new user registration).
Import and upload data file using the Bulk Import

Export your data from your vendor software
