State Fire Agency & Army National Guard Annual Helicopter Training Media Day
 
Longmont, CO — The Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC) and Colorado National Guard (CONG) will conduct helicopter-based fire suppression and classroom instruction as part of an annual interagency wildland fire training throughout the month of April. Exercises include targeted aerial water delivery practice at Chatfield State Park in Littleton, CO; Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge in Commerce City, CO; and Button Rock Reservoir in Longmont, CO. Interview and helicopter flight opportunities are available for the media on April 29; RSVP required for helicopter flights.

9:00 a.m. briefing, followed by interview/photo opportunities and helicopter flights on CONG aircraft. Aircraft operations at Button Rock Reservoir throughout the day, including Single Engine Air Tankers (SEATs), UH-72 Lakota helicopters, UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters, and CH-47 Chinook helicopters.
