Premanufactured Suppression Systems

PREMANUFACTURED SYSTEM means a fire suppression system (or components thereof) manufactured, assembled, or tested at a centralized manufacturing location prior to being transported to its final installation site which is within the boundaries of the State of Colorado.

Where the local fire jurisdiction employs a State of Colorado certified Fire Inspector III - Plans Examiner, the local fire jurisdiction will serve as the fire code official. A fire suppression permit must be secured from the local certified fire jurisdiction prior to beginning work on the premanufactured fire suppression system.

Where the local fire jurisdiction DOES NOT employ a State of Colorado certified Fire Inspector III - Plans Examiner, the Division of Fire Prevention and Control will act as the fire code official and require DFPC plan reviewed and subsequent issued fire suppression permits prior to beginning work on the premanufactured fire suppression system.
